Originally from France, Canelle moved to New York to pursue dance studies at the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance and the Peridance Capezio Center. She was introduced to GYROTONIC® in 2011 after a hip injury threatened her career. Canelle was amazed by the benefits of the method. Not only did GYROTONIC® heal her injuries, she also gained a greater awareness of her body and movement that helped revolutionized her dance technique.
Finding GYROTONIC® to be the perfect balance between functional movement training and rejuvenation in a deep physiological aspect, Canelle passionately pursued certification. She received her certification under Master Trainer Naoko Moriyama Robbins and Lisa Marie Goodwin-Rice. She has also studied anatomy and biomechanics with Irene Dowd, and is currently completing her comprehensive Pilates certification at the Kane School of Core Integration under a full scholarship.
Canelle takes great enjoyment in sharing her love and knowledge of GYROTONIC® by guiding her clients toward a heightened body awareness, pain-free movement and most importantly, a deep sense of well-being.
